Love Shack

Today Sarah and I enjoyed a nice little lunch adventure. A few days ago we got a menu for a local Chinese restaurant on our door. We got super excited when we saw they had Boba Tea!! I haven't had boba tea in forever so it sounded really fun. We had been planning all week to go eat there today and get a boba tea. We got up this morning really pumped for our outing...we even put on make-up which means it had to be a special occasion! When we pulled up to the restaurant our classy taste got the better of us. It just wasn't up to the usual 5-star restaurants that I eat at. So after our dreams were crushed, we decided that we would try Love Shack. This is a burger joint that I've heard a lot about and really been wanting to try. They have the original location down in the Stockyards and their newer one on 7th street near on our apartment. We headed on over the the 7th street location and went up to order our food. I immediatley felt awkward because it seemed like everyone knew each other there. There were flowers on all the tables and some ladies were handing out drink tickets to some of the people in line. I saw some fans on the tables with names and last nights date, and then I figured it out. Last night was the wedding and all the guests were getting together today for lunch. Awkward. So we got out of there real fast. There wasn't even a sign or anything! So after two failed attempts at eating lunch, we went down to the Stockyards to try the other Love Shack location. The place is so cool (Amy, you would lurve it)! It's all outdoors and they have live music! The burger that they're known for is called the Dirty Love Burger which is what I got. It's a cheesburger with bacon and the "love sauce" (pretty much thousand island dressing) all topped off with a quail egg. I have a special place in my heart for any burger with an egg because thats how the Aussie's do it. It was awesome. We will definately be going back. Good food, good atmosphere, and root beer from a tap. Works for me!

Here's a pic of the guy playing on stage. You can't really see him that well, but it gives you an idea of what the place is like.
